Ramaphosa Announces Cabinet Reshuffle, Moves Economic Ministers
The President has moved three key economic ministers in a reshuffle that signals a renewed focus on growth and investment.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a cabinet reshuffle affecting six portfolios, with the most significant moves in the economic cluster.
Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau moves to Mineral and Petroleum Resources, replacing Gwede Mantashe who will take up a senior ANC position full-time. Deputy Finance Minister David Masondo is promoted to the Trade, Industry and Competition portfolio.
The reshuffle, which takes effect immediately, is being interpreted by analysts as a signal that Ramaphosa is prioritizing implementation of the Operation Vulindlela economic reforms ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
