Hezbollah Claims Anti-Aircraft Strike on Israeli Helicopter, Tank Destroyed in Southern Lebanon

Lebanon's Hezbollah announced on 5 May 2026 that its fighters brought down an Israeli army helicopter with a surface-to-air missile over southern Lebanon, hours after separately destroying a Merkava tank in the same operational zone. The claims, reported via Iranian state-aligned Telegram channels, could not independently be verified by Monexus at press time.
